The Bevier Music Club was sponsoring a Bevier Talent Show. Cash prizes were to be $10 and $5. Admission was to be 50 cents for adults and 20 cents for children. Betty Lou Thomas of Bevier was on the list to perform a piano solo.
Specials at Gillan's Bakery included Chocolate Fudge Cake for 45 cents and cake donuts for 29 cents a dozen.
The Macon Theater was planning a special Superstition Showing for Friday the 13th. Special superstition activities included: walking under ladders, black cats, frogs with warts and mirrors to break. Every 13th ticket, 13th bag of popcorn and 13th drink sold was to receive a free movie pass.
