The Macon Jaycees held a Father/Daughter Dinner and Dance at the Macon Elk's Lodge Saturday, March 30, and according to Jaycees President Lorie Thompson, the event went really good and they look forward to another dance.
A dinner including lasagna, green beans a dinner roll and Jell-O cake was served at 5:30 p.m. and dancing started at 6:30 p.m.
According to Jaycees Chairman Kyla Wilcox, 45 individuals attended the supper and more joined for the dance.
"There were a lot of smiles from both the fathers and the daughters," said Wilcox. "It was a great project, we will definitely be doing it again next year."
The proceeds from this event will benefit the various community projects of each organizations.
