  • The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the March 22, 1973 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    The Lion’s club was planning their annual catfish dinner for March 29, 1973 in the Macon school cafeteria. President Dean Dennis assigned members to the work schedule. Tickets were available for $2 each.
    Candidates for Bevier City Elections for 1973 were: Mayor, Harold L. Hyde; 1st Ward Councilman,Ralph Lenzini and Gene Smith; 2nd Ward Councilman, Charles Peterson and Vern Rector.
    Dutch Maid Laundry was offering a special on Dry Cleaning, 9 lbs. for $2.
    “Thoroughly Modern Mille” was showing at the Macon Theater.
