Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning near Excello.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 8:40 a.m., a 2011 Ford Focus, driven by Stacy Jefferson, 32, of Armstrong, was westbound at the intersection of southbound Highway 63 and Route T, one mile east of Excello, when she failed to yield to traffic and pulled into the path of a southbound 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by Charlotte Pflum, 83, of Clarence.
Pflum's vehicle struck Jefferson's vehicle in the passenger side. Pflum's vehicle came to rest off the right side of the roadway, while Jefferson's vehicle came to rest on Route T.
Pflum and Jefferson both received minor injuries in the accident. Pflum was taken by private vehicle to Moberly Clinic. Jefferson was treated at the scene and released. Pflum was wearing a seat belt, but Jefferson was not.
The patrol was assisted by Macon Rural Fire and Rescue.
