  • According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, there was an accident on Friday, March 15 that sent three individuals to the hospital.
    Jessica Wood, 34, of Clarence was attempting to make a right hand turn on County Road 3011 off of U.S. 36 when Lindsay Jordan, 17, of Shelbina struck Wood in the rear. Wood came to rest in the median. Jordan came to rest against a fence off the south side of the roadway.
    Wood was not wearing her safety device and suffered moderate injury. She was transported by Salt River Ambulance to Samaritan Hospital. Raymond Wood, 45, was also in the totaled 2001 Chrysler Sebring. Raymond was not wearing his safety device was seriously injured. He was transported by Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia.
    Jordan was wearing her safety device and suffered minor injury. She was transported by Private Auto to Samaritan Hospital.
    On Saturday, March 16, Bryan Ramsey, 20, of Shelbyville was traveling eastbound on County Road 162 when he came to a dead end of the gravel and struck an embankment. It was unknown whether or not Ramsey was wearing his safty device. Reece Treasure, 16, of Bethel was also in the Chevrolet Silverado. Treasure was not wearing her safety device and suffered minor injury. She was taken by Private Auto to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
