Why are you seeking a position on the Samaritan Hospital Board of Trustees?
As a former Macon R-I Educator, a Director of a Non-Profit and having served terms on the Family Literacy Board and the Macon Public Library Board, I believe I can offer both experience and knowledge. Organizations need individuals willing to work as a team to make decisions, solve difficult problems and develop a vision for the future.
What are your goals if elected?
My first goal would be to learn as much as I can about the workings of Samaritan Hospital. With this information, I will work with the other board members and staff to continue to provide quality medical care while always looking for new and improved services and standards of care to offer the community.
What do you feel are the most important issues facing Samaritan Hospital?
The health care field is constantly changing and it is vital for Samaritan Hospital to provide state of the art medical services and facilities. Trying to balance costs with efforts to maintain and improve the quality and availability of health care is a major challenge. This is especially challenging in the rural area.
