  • Three Macon R-I High School art students were recognized for their entries in the annual Clarence Cannon Conference Art Show.

  • Three Macon R-I High School art students were recognized for their entries in the annual Clarence Cannon Conference Art Show. The event was held in Monroe City on March 11. Pictured from left to right, Estelita Allen, sophomore; Victoria Tucker, sophomore; Ashley Vandever, junior. Estelita received first place for her charcoal drawing and honorable mention for her painting and mixed media entries. Ashley received two third place ribbons for her painting and pencil drawing. Victoria received honorable mention for her colored pencil drawing. They are Art II students of Linda Samp. “The girls did very well,” said Samp. “They were often in competition with seniors.”
