Enrollment and screening for kindergarten students attending Macon County R-I Schools for the 2013-2014 school year will be held March 11-15 in the Zion Lutheran Church basement.
Parents need to bring their child's birth certificate, social security card, proof of residency and immunization records. If you do not have a state birth certificate from the County Health Department, you may stop by the Macon Health Department or call them at 660-385-4711. The screenings will take place while parents are filling out the enrollment packets. A child must turn five before August 1, 2013 to be enrolled in kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year.
Monday and Thursday screenings are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday screenings are from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Parents must make an appointment for child enrollment and screening. Call Jeannie Grauel at Macon R-I Elementary at 660-385-2118. Parents should allow at least 90 minutes for their appointment.
