A family in La Plata is becoming an Air Force family. The Larsons have two children who have already joined the Air Force with a third child planning to join in April. Hannah Larson, a junior at La Plata High School will be taking her physical when the processing opens for Juniors in April. She has already passed the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test. Hannah joins older siblings, Kyle Larson and Naomi Larson, who have already joined the Air Force. Airman First Class Kyle Larson graduated from La Plata High School in 2012 and finished Basic Military Training and his tecnical school for Command Post Apprentice where he works with the Base Commander’s Support Staff with the day-to-day operations at this base and is now currently assigned to Andersen Air Base, Guam. Naomi Larson is currently a Senior at La Plata High School and waiting on a Basic Training date after she graduates in May. She has already passed the ASVAB test and has entered the DEP (Delayed Entrance Program) for the Air Force. They are the oldest of 10 children. Each one scored in the 90’s out of 99 for the ASVAB test. They are all in the top 10 percent of the Nation for this test including students and graduates, according to MSgt Corey G. Reynolds, Air Force Recruiter.
