Fire in Callao

Callao Fire Department was paged for a structure fire on Golden Avenue in Callao at approximately 9:08 p.m. on Sunday. The Callao Fire Department had three trucks, the Bevier Fire Protection District had three trucks and Macon Rural brought one tanker. The fire was considered under control at 12:45 a.m., which is also when they departed the scene.

According to Callao Fire Chief Tyler Hall, there were no individuals injured and the fire is still under investigation. A Macon County Ambulance and members of the Macon County Sheriffs Department were also on the scene
