According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on Friday, Feb. 15 at approximately 7:14 p.m., there was an accident on U.S. 63 at Hwy D. Amie Myers, 28, of La Plata was traveling eastbound when she failed to yield and drove into the side of the vehicle driven by Faith Miller, 28, of Memphis, Mo.
Myers was wearing her safety device and suffered minor injury. The Adair County Ambulance transported her to Northeast Regional Medical Center. Her 2005 Honda Odyssey was considered totaled at the scene.
Miller was wearing her safety device and suffered no injuries. Clayton Miller, 29, and Merit Miller, 6, who were also in her vehicle suffered minor injury. Clayton and Merit were transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center as well. Clayton by Macon County Ambulance, Merit by the Adair County Ambulance. Miller's 2007 Chevy Equinox was marked totaled at the scene.
On Monday, Feb. 18 at approximately 12:08 p.m., Macon Police officers and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a page on the 1200 block of Cherry Lane. According to Macon Police Captain Jeff Brown, they were responding to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Due to a malfunctioning garage door, pedestrian Lindsey R. Whittle, 29, of Macon was holding it up. A vehicle that was attempting to back out of the garage then struck her. Upon the vehicle striking the pedestrian, the vehicle struck the garage then jolted forward to strike the garage again.
The driver was a juvenile so his/her name could not be released.
Whittle was transported to Samaritan Hospital by Macon County EMS. She was treated and released with probable non-apparent injury. There was moderate damage done to the vehicle and extensive damage done to the garage.
