Mardi Gras beads littered tables, the smell of gumbo filled the air, and smiles were dominate during the Repertory Theatre's Fat Tuesday event Tuesday evening.
The event featured music by Keota, a 50/50 drawing and of course Mardi Gras themed food.
"It turned out to be a really good fundraiser," said Kathy Nelson.
Tickets were $10 a person and food was free-will donation.
According to Nelson, there were no expenses to host the event because Keota donated their time and services, and members of the theatre donated the food.
"We have a special place in our heart for the theatre and are happy to donate our time to do it," said band member Mary Beth Truitt. "We truly value the arts in Macon."
After enjoying gumbo, red beans and rice, some music and dancing, the 2013 schedule was announced. The schedule features shows like Chicago, South Pacific and many more.
Seventy individuals attended the event, earning the theatre $1,300.
"We had a better turnout than we thought," said Connie Argotsinger. "It's a really great event."
