The Samaritan Hospital Board held its Board of Trustees Meeting on Tuesday in the administration conference room.
It was first announced that Dr. Tom Thurman has resigned from the board. After the announcement, the board discussed old business starting with the wound clinic.
Construction on the wound clinic began Feb. 1, and is well under way. In addition to construction, there was an informational meeting for medical staff that outlined the role of positions in the wound care facility.
Under new business, a medical staff report was given. The report included meeting minutes, election of offices and reviewing of October, November and December records. During the staff election, all positions were kept the same. In addition to the medical report, the medical staff applications were discussed as well as emergency room surveys. For January, the ER surveys showed no scores less than 95 percent satisfaction.
The next board meeting will be held on March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the administration conference room.
