  • The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the February 13, 1987 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    The Zion Lutheran Church of Macon set April 1, 1987 as the groundbreaking date for its new church building. Members of the building committee were: Dale Belshe, Dan and Iris Arnold, Kenny Mears, Duane and Janet Fetters and Don Kothe.
    The Hungry Tiger advertised a special of two carry-out pizzas for $11.95.
    Macon Girl Scouts Susan Swadley, Amy Argotsinger and Meta Friesz will be attending a conference in Washington D.C. celebrating the 75th anniversary of Girl Scouting. Two be selected the girls filled out an application form and appeared before a panel of judges.
    The Gaslight Room advertised a Prime-Rib Valentine Dinner for two for $18.95.
