A one-vehicle accident late Thursday night east of Bevier resulted in the driver being transported to Samaritan Hospital by ambulance.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Harvey J. Brown, 40, of Callao was westbound on the south outer road two miles east of Bevier at approximately 11:58 p.m. when his vehicle traveled off the south side of the roadway. The 1999 Dodge truck went into a creek and became submerged.
The patrol said that it is unknown if Harvey was wearing a seatbelt.
The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Macon Police Department, Macon Rural Fire Department and Macon County Ambulance.
According to the patrol, the Department of Natural Resources has been contacted and will be responding to the scene today.
