According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, Randolph County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident on southbound U.S. 63. The driver, Steven Dale-Jenkins, 15, of Macon, lost control of his vehicle and went into the median. The 2002 Jeep was overturned several times, coming to rest on its top. The vehicle was considered totaled on the scene.
Steven Dale-Jenkins was wearing his seat belt and suffered minor injury. Clarence W. Dale-Jenkins, 16, of Macon, was not wearing his seat belt and also suffered minor injuries. Steven and Clarence were transported to University Hospital by Randolph County EMS. Noah Pitney, 18, of Moberly was not wearing his seat belt and suffered minor injury. Lee Sefler, 14, of Macon was wearing his seat belt and also suffered minor injury. Noah and Lee were taken to University Hospital by Boone County EMS. Cameron Hackley, 17, of Moberly, was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hackley's body was transported to Pathway Memorial in Moberly. This was Troop B's first fatality of 2013.
