  • Genevieve Hall Holste, 94, died suddenly at her home in Macon, MO, on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
    She was born in Toledo, IA, on February 27, 1918, to Lewis and Rose Hall.  Genevieve was raised in Toledo and graduated from Toledo High School.  She attended a Nursing School for a short time before marrying.  Over the years, besides Toledo, she had lived in Louisiana, Tama County; Omaha, Nebraska; Massena, Iowa and Macon, Missouri.  Genevieve was an independent person and very proud of her “Bohemian” background.  Over the years, she had numerous occupations.  Genevieve had been a farmer’s wife, legal secretary, secretary and caregiver.
    Her parents, husbands and her brother, Leonard, preceded her in death.  Genevieve is survived by her nephews and their families; Richard Hall (California) Robert Hall (Ohio) and Mark Hall (Coralville, Iowa).
    Private family interment will be in Toledo, Iowa, close to her parents by family as she requested.
