Harold (Butch) Corn , Jr., 67, of Excello, MO, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at his brother’s home in Fayetteville, AR.
Butch was born on December 11, 1945, in Moberly, MO, the son of Harold Hugh, Sr. and Marjorie (Wright) Corn. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. Butch was a member of the Ardmore Baptist Church and loved hunting and fishing.
Butch is survived by his mother, Marjorie Corn; two brothers, Bob Corn and wife Chris of Moberly and Greg Corn and wife Gina of Fayetteville, AR; two nieces, Deena Halfmoon and husband Victor of Hutchinson, KS, Olivia Corn of Moberly, great-niece, Hadley Betts; great-nephews, Daniel Mark Halfmoon, Nathan Thomas Halfmoon; lifelong friend, Sue McQuiston of Macon, best buddy, Stan Systo and wife Connie and their daughter Kelly Ann Systo of Naperville, IL, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 11, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Pastor Victor Halfmoon officiating. Burial, with Full Military Honors, will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project.
