  • William (Bill) D. Weber, 80, of Macon, MO, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013, at Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon.
    Bill was born on August 6, 1932, in Macon County, MO, the son of Pearl and Lena (Petre) Weber. He served his country in the U. S. Army from December, 1952, to November, 1954.  Bill was united in marriage to Nancy Davolt on June 14, 1956, in Kirksville, MO.  He was a member of the Open Arms Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, woodworking, working on fast cars, pulling pranks, the Macon tractor pull, playing cards and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.  
    He is survived by his wife, Nancy of the home; three daughters, Rhonda Biegel and husband, Terry, Terri Swallow and husband, Joe and Peggy Thomas; all of Macon, seven grandchildren; Brandi Clem, Jeremy Swallow, Josh  Swallow, Brent Cross, Nikki Carnahan, Melissa Wyatt, Cierra Bree Melkersman; three step-grandchildren;15 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Benny Weber, Robert Weber; one sister, Lena Henry, and several nieces and nephews.
    Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Pamela Cross, seven brothers and sisters and his foster mother, Fannie Purdy.
    Funeral services will be Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Brother Rich Wills officiating.  Burial with Full Military Honors will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens north of Macon.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 :00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the Open Arms Baptist Church.
