MARGARET WALLER

Margaret Inez Waller, 85, of Callao, MO, passed away at her daughter’s home in Frisco, TX, on December 21, 2012.

    Margaret was born on February 6, 1927, in Callao, the daughter of Hugh and Grace (Herrin) Cross.  She was united in marriage to Ivan E. “Gene” Waller on October 16, 1948, in Sacramento, CA.  Margaret was a member of the Callao Christian Church, the Macon Beaux and Belle’s square dancing club, and American Legion Auxiliary.  She also enjoyed sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family.

    Margaret is survived by two sons, David G. Waller and his wife Carlene, and Michael J. Waller, all of Macon, MO; two daughters, Janet Dennis and her husband John of Frisco, TX, and Carolyn Murphy and her husband Gerry of Eustace, TX; seven grandchildren, Travis, Matthew, Christopher, Karen, and Jennifer Waller, Christina Regan, and Philip Varner; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Cross and his wife Mary of Columbia, MO; and one sister, Hazel Mott of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Erik Dennis, and one sister, Laurel May.

    Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon.  Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday evening, at the funeral home in Macon.  The family suggests memorials to the Callao American Legion Post 360, Locust Grove Cemetery, or Mt. Zion Cemetery at Callao.
