C-H Community Christmas Card raises over $2,000

On Saturday, Dec. 22, members of the Macon Women of Today and their families distributed 30 food boxes to make the holiday season a little merrier for some citizens of Macon County. Pictured little Miss Jenna Allspach assists her parents Josh and WOT Treasurer, Jessica Allspach help prepare a food box for delivery. The food was purchased through funds collected from the Chronicle-Herald’s Community Christmas Card. This year’s total collected was $2,079.25. Members of the Macon Easy Riders 4-H Club Breads Group, led by Lisa Tull and Anna Blackford made dinner rolls to put in each basket as a service project. Any money not used for filling the food boxes will be donated to Macon County Ministries. Katie Nelson and Connie Kuhman served at co-chairman for the project.
