Macon City Council approves 2013 budget

The ordinances discussed at the Tuesday night meeting are as follows:

• Authorizing amendment no. 4 to amend the state block grant agreement for airport improvement. These improvements include land acquisition, runway extension and installation of a fuel facility. This grant is for a total of $46,000.

• Approving construction engineering services and construction for reconstruction of runway 2-20. This ordinance is for a total of $3,194,190.

• Allowing a contract with Emery Sapp and Songs for the construction of the runway at Macon Fower Memorial Airport.

• Approving the community assistance program agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation for 25 years.

• Reviewing and approving the Maffrey Street Improvement project. This is for the approval of low bid $537,525.89.

• Approval of the Board of Public Works operational budget of $17,541,120.81.

• Approval of the Macon Public Library budget of $184,244.

• Approval of the Common Fund Operating budget of $3,330,479.

• Approval of the Motor Fuel Fund in the amount of $636,000.

• Approval of the Asset Replacement Fund totaling $2,200.

• Approval of the Project Fund equaling $3,000,000.

• Approval of the Airport Fund in the amount of $20,600.

• Approval of the Industrial Development Fund totaling $16,000.

• Approval of the Capital Improvement Fund equaling $1,206,000.

• Amending the 2012 budget to reflect new line items in the Airport account.
