  • Francis “Corky” Duncan, 82, of Ferguson, MO, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Christian Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
    Corky was born on September 28, 1930, in St. Catherine, MO, the son of Charles A. and Marie (Lewis) Duncan.  Corky served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. He was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Smithson on May 27, 1956, in Atlanta, MO.  Corky worked for many years as a Veteran’s Claims Examiner for the Veterans Administration.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ferguson.  Corky enjoyed fishing and camping but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
    Corky is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home, three children, Laura Ann Martin and her husband David of St. Peters, MO, Stanley Allen Duncan and his wife Pam of Ferguson, and Philip Andrew Duncan of Ferguson, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, Edna Herrin of Macon, MO, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Macon.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service.  The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Ferguson.
