  • The Macon Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade and Christmas in Jackson Street Park will be held on Friday, Nov. 30.
    The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. Line-up will start at 3:30 p.m. at the Macon County Court House. The parade will travel south on Rollins Street to Vine Street then east on Vine Street to Jackson Street and north on Jackson Street to the park.
    Festivities in Jackson Street Park following the parade will include: decorated trees, carolers, a live Nativity and visits with Santa Claus. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.  
    The theme this year is “Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
    No Santa’s are allowed on any parade entry.
    Awards for parade entries will be selected in three categories: Floats, Decorated Vehicles and Walkers. First, second and third will be selected in each category.
