  • The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the October 15, 1992 edition of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.
    A front page story told of local response to the teleconference gubernatorial race debate between Lt. Gov. Mel Carnahan and Attorney General Bill Webster. Among those quoted in the story were Joan Schlanker, J.D. King and Dick Jones.
    A good luck page was devoted to the Macon Tigerette softball team as they travel to Columbia to play in the State Softball Semifinals. Some of the team members were: Jacque Martie, Amber Davis, Tiffani Shelton, Beth Wells, Tara Roberts, Sarah Kohl and Kristie Douglas.
    A 1 bedroom partially furnished apartment close to downtown with utilities furnished was advertised for $225 a month.
