Macon Moment in History Sept. 21, 1983

The following Macon Moments in History were taken from the Sept. 21, 1983, editions of the Macon Chronicle-Herald.

An evaluation team from the Missouri Department of Education was to visit with principals from Elmer C-1, Atlanta C-3, and LaPlata school districts to evaluate the possibility of consolidating the three districts into one.

Some of the Callao 7th & 8th grade students who had attended a recent basketball camp were: Jason Miller, Letitia Mott, Leesa Stamp and Stacy Snodgrass. They were coached by Rita Moore. 5th & 6th grade students at camp included: Eric McCully, Cassi McCollum, Dynea Brown, Rachel Mallet, Amy Dye, Loree Binder, and Cheryl Castle.

Nathan Pillers, son of Gary and Bette Pillers of Macon was celebrating his 4th birthday.
