  • Marilyn Danner, 88, of Macon, MO, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Macon Health Care Center in Macon.
    Marilyn was born on February 19, 1924, in Anabel, MO, the daughter of James A. and Eliza (Wright) Turner. She was united in marriage to Elwin G. Danner on September 5, 1944. She was a foster parent for many years and helped all that she could. Marilyn was a member of the Open Arms Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, word search puzzles, soap operas, gardening, children, working hard, and especially spending time with her family.
    Marilyn is survived by two children, Paulet Danner of Forsyth, MO, and Carlos Danner and wife Donna of Port Byron, IL, seven grandchildren, Brenda Coffelt and husband Kevin of Forsyth, MSgt. Brandon Livingston and wife Zenia of Nashville, GA, Sgt. Chad Eaves and wife Lisa of Okinawa, Japan, Angela Brown and husband Roger of Macon, Tracy Sanders and husband Dale of Macon, Carlo Danner of Macon, and Ashley Danner of Port Byron, nineteen great-grandchildren, Kasey Coffelt, Bailey Coffelt, Chaelyn Coffelt, Tristin Livingston, Meghan Livingston, Cecily Livingston, Logan Livingston, Christian Eaves, Allison Eaves, Lucas Eaves, Trevor Newland, Travis Newland, Tristen Newland, Adam Brown, Aaron Brown, Jesse Sanders, Josse Sanders, Siera Danielle Sanders, and Dylan Danner, seven great great-grandchildren, Baylon Newland, Aubree Newland, Emma Newland, Natalie Hicks, Luke Newland, Evan Newland, and Jacob Newland, three sisters, Cleo, Gloria, and Velma, and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter, Carla, and three brothers, Lavern, Gerald, and Jimmy, and sisters, Millie and Thelma.
    Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Open Arms Baptist Church in Macon.
