1438th Deployment Ceremony

A deployment ceremony was held on Saturday, June 15, at Hugh Dunn field at Macon High School for the Macon-based 1438th Engineer Company. The company will be deployed to Afghanistan later this summer.

Middle school age students attending Macon R-1 Summer Journey summer school picked out random cars to wash. Calling themselves the Phantom Car Washers the students' project was a part of a Service Learning class.
