2012 Macon Town & Country Fair: Shooting sports weekend

The 2012 Macon County Town & Country Fair was kicked off last weekend with shooting sports competitions by area 4-H clubs. Friday afternoon, The Macon 63 Gun Club hosted trap/skeet/aair pistol competitions. Pictured left are youth participating in the skeet event. Saturday morning and afternoon, the 4-H clubs went to a gun range north of Bloomington where skills with the pistol, rifle and shotgun were tested. Sunday afternoon, the competitions were concluded back at the Macon 63 Gun Club with archery (pictured right is Case Murr of the Easy Riders 4-H Club in Macon) and hunting skills. The awards ceremony for the weekend shooting sports competition will be Monday, July 9, 8 p.m. in the grandstands at the Macon Co. Fairgrounds.
