Jeff Haley, who currently serves as K-12 Principal for the Meadville R-V School District, has been selected as the Macon R-1 High School Principal for the 2012-13 school year.
The announcement was made Monday afternoon by Macon Superintendent Debbie Livingston. “The Board feels they interviewed some very quality applicants and were also extremely pleased with the number of individuals indicating an interest in the position,” said Livingston.
Haley has held the K-12 principal position for the past three years. Prior to getting into administration, he had six years of teaching experience, having taught Ag in the Tri-County R-VII District as well as the Meadville school system. He comes from a family of educators, with both his mother and father having taught; three of his four siblings being in education; and his wife currently teaching in the Brookfield Elementary School. He and his wife presently reside in St. Catherine with their three children, a five-year old daughter who will be entering kindergarten in the fall; a three-year old son; and a one-year old daughter.
Haley and his family plan to relocate to the Macon District in the future.
Haley will replace Dwight Tietsort who is retiring at the end of the current school year.
