    • Memories Orchestra performs at Macon Health Care Center

    • Sunday afternoon the Macon Health Care Center held its annual Memories Orchestra concert in the dining room. The Memories Orchestra, which came together in ‘59-’60, played a variation of music—songs such as “Jealousy,” “In the Mood,” “Kansas City” and much more. Throughout the concert, members of the audience swayed, tapped their toes, clapped and some even got up to dance. Dietary manager Jana Reed said, “It is a very special event.” Band member Harold D. Carothers said, “The whole thing is pretty touching.” During intermission, there was punch and a variety of cakes to enjoy. Bandleader Ron Brockman jokingly said, “It’s the feast of the day. I see you licking your lips!” The Memories Orchestra will return for the Maples Winter Ball on January 26.
